Our medical services begin with an examination to determine the health of your eyes. We use the latest computerized instruments to test for refractive errors. Please bring in your current glasses and contact lens prescription (if available) when you come, even if they are broken or unsatisfactory. They will help us to maintain an accurate record on you.
Call (818) 846-9999 at any time if you have an eye emergency – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our ophthalmologists and optometrists are available in our Burbank office during business hours for medical eye emergencies. After 5:30pm and weekends, your call will be answered and directed to the appropriate doctor to respond to your needs. Read more.
If you need eyeglasses, your prescription can be filled by our optical department. We maintain a large inventory of fashion eyewear and sunglasses in all price ranges. Our highly trained opticians assure that you will receive accurate light weight lenses at affordable prices. They will help you select stylish frames and tints that compliment your facial features. If contact lenses are desired, our optometrist can fit you with the latest in soft, hard (gas permeable) contacts, colored contact lenses, designer or extended wear contact lenses.
The excimer laser is a computer-driven ultraviolet beam of light that reshapes the surface of the cornea to improve the way light is focused (refracted) by the eye, thereby reducing or eliminating a variety of refractive errors. One of the most exciting procedures we perform is called LASIK. A thin layer of the cornea is folded back and then replaced after the laser treatment is completed. Healing is rapid with minimal discomfort. We were one of the first centers in the country to begin offering laser vision correction after it was approved by the FDA in 1995. The excimer laser is now routinely used around the world to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. If you would like to decrease your dependence on glasses or contacts our staff will be glad to discuss whether a vision correction procedure is advisable for you.
Please call our office at (818) 846-9999 if you have any questions regarding your condition, treatment or medication. Our staff is specially trained to answer most questions and arrange prescription refills. If you need to speak directly to your doctor, the staff will ask him to return your call as soon as possible. If you call because you have developed a new problem or complication, it will probably be necessary to examine you in the office since many diseases have similar symptoms.
